Residents Can Recycle More Materials
Residents and Businesses can recycle more materials than ever before. Our contract hauler, Penn Waste, has gone green with single stream recycling. They have a new fleet of recycling trucks and can now sort a greater number of recycling materials. Please click on the link for waste and recycling and check out the added materials and rules for recycling in Spring Garden Township.

CHRISTMAS TREE RECYCLING PICKUP
Penn Waste Inc. will pick up Christmas Trees for recycling on Saturday January 10, 2009 for Spring Garden Township. Please place your tree out where you would place your regular trash for collection by 7:00 a.m. Trees must not have any ornaments, tinsel or other decorations. They must not be in a tree bag. Trucks will not go back for trees that are placed out after 7:00 a.m. on January 10th, 2009.
If you should wish to recycle your tree between the dates of December 26, 2009 and January 31, 2009 you have two options through York County Solid Waste Authority. You may bring your tree to York County Solid Waste’s Yard Waste Transfer Facility seven days a week during daylight hours or you may drop off your tree seven days a week during daylight hours at William H. Kain County Park. There is no fee to residents at either site. Please remove all ornaments, tinsel, lights and protective bags from the trees. Further information or directions may be directed to the York County Solid Waste Authority at 717-845-1066.
The December Board of Commissioners meeting has been rescheduled to Wednesday, Dec. 17, 2008 at 7:00 p.m. at the Tri Hill Municipal Building, 340 Tri Hill Road. |
