Mission Statement
The mission of the Spring Garden Township Police Department is to enhance the quality of life of all people by working in partnership with the community to protect life and property through the delivery of professional law enforcement services while maintaining the highest level of integrity and assuring individual constitutional rights.

A Message from the Police Chief
I hope this newsletter finds everyone well in the Township. As I have stated in previous newsletters, I am very proud of the strides that we have made in enhancing the many services that we are able to provide to the community. During 2006, we implemented a new traffic enforcement strategy to both educate and enforce the motor vehicle laws to endeavor to make our roadways safer. As part of our overall traffic safety initiative, we obtained a message / speed trailer through a state grant. Having a speed board will allow us to monitor a variety of locations such as school zones, construction areas, neighborhoods and high-accident areas 24 hours a day, seven days a week. The speed board and new traffic speed counters we recently received are welcome additions to our ongoing traffic enforcements efforts.

With your continued support we will continue to make Spring Garden Township a great place to live, work and play. I extend our wishes for a safe, enjoyable summer.

York County Crime Stoppers Underage Drinking Hotline
In an effort to reduce the underage drinking problem, York County Crime Stoppers started an underage drinking hotline. Through this phone number, youth can call in to report underage drinking parties. The callers remain completely anonymous and are even eligible to receive a cash reward if the information is found to be credible. It is our belief that one caller with one tip can prevent the loss of a life. The number is 755-TIPS (8477). (Information from York County Crime Stoppers Brochure) www.yorkcountycrimestoppers.org
