Property Owner Maintenance Guide

Property owners are responsible for maintaining the vegetation on their property and the vegetation that encroaches into the street right-of-way. Trees, bushes, and shrubs may not extend beyond the property line into any public street, public alley, or public sidewalk. Trees, bushes, and shrubs must have a clearance of 14 feet from the road surface and 7 feet clearance from the public sidewalk. As the Township prepares streets for paving this season, if vegetation is encroaching into the street or public alley they will trim the vegetation back to specifications.
