Our township is divided into five separate wards, each represented by an elected official from that ward. With the recent fall election, there have been some changes to the board, and I am pleased to have the opportunity to work with each of the board members listed below. All of these individuals bring their own unique skills and expertise to the board, and all of them have a strong desire to serve the residents of the township. It is a privilege to serve with each of them.
- Ward 1 – Commissioner Michael Thomas
Commissioner Thomas was appointed to the Board of Commissioners in December of 2016 to fill the Commissioner vacancy seat for the 1st Ward after Commissioner Fullmer’s resignation from the Board. Commissioner Thomas serves as Board Liaison to the Recreation Commission and is also the Township’s Alternate representative on the York Area United Fire & Rescue Commission. - Ward 2 – President Commissioner Eric Lehmayer
Commissioner Lehmayer was elected to the Board of Commissioners in January, 2014 and was elected to serve as Board President at the December 2016 Board of Commissioner’s meeting. Prior to being elected to the Board of Commissioners, Eric served on the Township Planning Commission from 1995-1998 and the Township Zoning Hearing Board from 1998-2014. - Ward 3 – Vice-President Commissioner Thomas Warman
Commissioner Warman was originally appointed to the Board of Commissioners in 2008 and was most recently re-elected to the Board in November of 2016. Commissioner Warman serves as the Board Liaison to Police. Commissioner Warman’s e-mail address is email@example.com.
- Ward 4 – Commissioner Matthew Shorb
Commissioner Shorb joined the Board of Commissioners in January 2006 and served as Board Vice-President through December of 2016. Commissioner Shorb currently serves as Board Liaison to Public Works. Commissioner Shorb’s e-mail address is: firstname.lastname@example.org.
Ward 5 – Commissioner Cara Beth Zortman
Commissioner Zortman has served on the Board of Commissioners since January 2012 and serves as a Primary representative on the York Area United Fire & Rescue Commission. Commissioner Zortman’s e-mail address is: email@example.com.
