Public Works Crewperson

Spring Garden Township is seeking a public works crewperson with the following minimum qualifications:  3 years of responsible experience in roadway construction or related work such as leaf collection, snow removal, road and stormwater infrastructure repair, and the ability to operate CDL vehicles with air brakes and related construction equipment; perform manual labor in all environments and be available for immediate call out outside regular work hours for weather related or manmade situations; walk, lift, and bend while carrying heavy objects; a pre-employment background check, drug/alcohol testing; interpersonal and communication skills; positive attitude; operates and maintains a variety of road department manual and power tools and equipment along with building facilities; understanding of general operating procedures and follow up on assignments and responsibilities in a timely manner; works as a team member and independently without constant supervision; maintains professional contact with residents, staff, contractors, and vendors; safety conscious; high school diploma or GED, valid PA Driver’s License with CDL, airbrakes endorsement; wage based on qualifications and experience.   Full job description can be found by following this hyperlink.
